COVID-19 UPDATE

Changes to our Testing Compliance requirements and meeting and training room capacities in accordance with current Provincial regulations:

Due to the commitment and dedication of Nova Scotians, which has resulted in 67% having received at least their first vaccine, COVID-19 cases numbers in single digits, hospitalizations decreasing, coupled with testing volumes remaining steady, as of June 16, we have moved into Phase 2 of the Nova Scotia Reopening Plan. The following are changes to our Testing Compliance requirements and meeting and training room capacities in accordance with current Provincial regulations:

  • The requirement to undergo a test every 7 days will cease June 23rd . Those entering the yard on our after June 23rd will not be required to have been tested in the past 7 days.
  • A Testing Centre will still be available on site after June 23rd according to the current schedule. We will review the employee demand for on-site testing between June 23rd and July 5th to guide an further changes we may make.
  • We continue to encourage our employees to be tested regularly and to be vaccinated

Every effort shall still be made to conduct virtual meetings and training, but where this is not practical, the following is permitted:

25% of room capacity up to 50 people:

  • Ensure maximum physical distancing (2 metres (6 feet) is maintained
  • Wear masks until everyone is seated in physically distanced positions
